New Life Church home group core values:

Gathering – Groups meet regularly in a New Life church members home. The number of times and when a group meets will depend on the schedule of the group members. Typically it will not be less than twice a month.

Studying the Scripture – The desire is to be students of the Word, together; learning to study and apply it to our lives.

Prayer – Praying with and for one another is one way God forges us into a family, as we come along side one another and bear one another’s burdens.

Caretaking – Each group strives for openness about what is going on in life and works together to support one another in whatever ways are needed. Each member of the group is uniquely gifted to meet the needs of others who attend.

Hospitality – Biblical hospitality is an outworking of hospitality we have experienced from Jesus. Welcoming strangers, inviting others into your home, being present are just a few ways it shows up in groups. Home Groups are a great place to help people take that next step toward “family” through Jesus in community.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
